Nice pick ups! are you working on an ASM run?

Is there a reason you posted pictures of the interior page? Does that help determine the grade of a comic? Or help minimize forgeries (if such things exist...?)?

Bob got this one for $30 including shipping on ebay. Indications from mycomicshop are $45-50 in 2-3. May be slightly higher at SDCC.

They should be front and center at the show, so there will be good selection. When I bought mine it was on a display wall but at like knee level behind some boxes. I just bought it bec. I loved the character from Guardians and the idea that he was a pre-hero TTA monster was even better.

plus " I AM GROOT!" is among my all time favorite battle cries.

Yeah, long process. I have runs of all the other spidey titles, and ASM is basically 100-current, with a bunch missing below that. Only real big one I'm missing besides 1-20 is #129 and that's because I want at least 8.0, so that's going to cost some change. Most of my comics in ASM from 100+ are at least 7.0 so I'd hate to have a 3.0 #129 or something.

That was one of the things that made me think these were worth the money, my other comics this old are usually darker. The color of the pages does affect the grade, I'm not sure by how much if everything else was identical...probably by a few points if you had white pages vs. brown.

How did they verify the signature if it was signed on 2/6/12 but dropped off at SDCC in July? I thought their signature series books had to be signed & walked directly over to CGC on the spot.

I signed up for Roy thomas at the show but they waited until Sunday to get it and Roy decided not to do Sunday. So they took it back to Florida and realized later that they didn't get the sig. They offered me sal based on a private signing someone was arranging and put it into that group. I guess it took him until feb to get to signing it.

yes, it was pretty nice of them, considering. I'm sure this was a private event that cost more than the $5 they charged me to witness the sig at SDCC.
