Wondered why I didn't have my DCBS box from last week yet & checked the tracking # on-line.

It left DCBS on Dec 23rd, made it from Fort Wayne, IN to Hodgkins, IL that same day, then sat in Hodgkins until Dec 28th.

UPS is estimating I'll get it on Jan 4th.

That means that if we're going to put out the next episode on time, I'm going to have to go out and buy duplicate copies of all the books we are reviewing for Episode #124:

Wonder Woman #39
Cap Reborn: Who Will Wield Shield?
Last Days of American Crime #1

I ran into that last year with something I ordered. It seems UPS gives two days for X-mas which puts things in a dead zone.

That sucks. My shipment got stuck in Hodgkins, IL from the 24th until the 28th. But it arrived yesterday which made it two days later than usual. Given the holidays a minor delay is understandable. The delay on your shipment, however, is completely insane.

Ugh, that is no fun. Never been a fan of UPS.

That is pretty bad. I had an issue with something I got from USPS a few months ago. It took over a month because it kept going back and forth between two cities!!!

The Christmas and New Year's Day screws up UPS schedule. I got my shipment two business days later than I normally would have.

It occurs to me that in all the previous years I have been getting comics from DCBS, I was getting shipments via DHL at Christmas time.

This is the first year with UPS, looks like UPS may hose me over every year at Christmas time........

I chose twice a month shipping for december, thinking with the holidays and a skip week, that would be plenty. Turns out it means I only get 1 shipment in December. DCBS didn't ship on skip week, which I'm guessing would be their regular 2x a month ship week. So I paid an extra $5.95 to get a shipment at the front of the month instead of the back.

I ended up buying dupes of a few books bec. I couldn't wait. Guess I'll go back to weekly shipping -- that's just easier to predict.

You will get your 2 DCBS shipments, Trev.

Normally they ship on the 15th & month end. Since month end was a skip week and Previews did not come out either, they are doing your month end shipment this coming Wed.

You will then get a mid-month & end of month shipment for January.....

I had my shipment arrive about the same time... you think it would be quicker going across the country rather than international

Just to let you know i work for a mail order company and to explain the no movement of packages on the 24th.

UPS usually reserves the day before a holiday as simply a "Air only" day. Meaning the only packages that move are those that get shipped Second Day Air and Overnight. This is also the Case with New Years Eve and some other holidays.

It really sucks but it has pretty much always been that way. What is very strange though is sometimes random non air things will get through.
