The un-verified news just broke that Clayne Crawford is out on Lethal Weapon due to a host of backstage complaints about his treatment of production people as an actor and actor safety concerns over an episode he directed. While it is certainly possible they recast the role and the show continues, this show is close enough in ratings to Lucifer that if Lethal Weapon is cancelled instead of dealing with recasting, Lucifer would most likely be renewed instead.

I love the crossing. That one I hope sticks.

My sister was telling me about Clayne Crawford's questionable status a week or two back. While we watched an episode, I commented that it might be the scene in question with the safety concerns. After we finished the episode, we checked and it was the episode he directed. The scene seems like it could have been shot in a completely safe manner.

As for recasting/replacing the character, that would radically change the show. while it could come out better, it would take a talented writing staff to do that. Fortunately they have a very talented writing staff so I think they could do it if they decide to try. My gut feeling is the show will get canceled which would be a shame.

The first miss of the year, in a big shocker. NBC while dominating primetime ratings has struggled mightily in sitcoms for over decade. A field they use to dominate. Hopefully they can turn that around.
