Thought I would start a thread on this inspired by all the cool swag in in Bob's Long Beach thread.
I will be there Friday afternoon as soon as I can get free from work, probably the bulk of Saturday, and sometime on Sunday with my 2 year old. John, Russ-L and I are planning some kind of lunch or dinner. Anybody else going?
Major items on my list are:
* Kevin Maguire sketch/commission/page -- whatever I can get that I can afford. Would probably like a page most. or a Blue and Gold commission. This will absolutely be my first stop.
* Fill some holes in my Avengers run
* Fill some holes in my FF run
Other artists that I don't usually see at cons that I will check out:
* Greg Capullo
* Yanick Paquette
* Jo Chen
* Patrick Gleason

If I was in Austin, here are the panels at the Con I'd want to check out:
Friday 6:00–6:45PM
The Art of Chew and Sweets with Kody Chamberlain and Rob Guillory
Rob Guillory (Chew) and Kody Chamberlain (Sweets) team up to discuss their breakout Image hits, and how they’ve transformed their love of art and storytelling to their Chew and Sweets brands. (Room A)
Saturday 11:00-11:45AM
Storytelling with Michael Golden
Whether you’re a writer, artist, or just a comic lover, come for this sit-down with one of the most renowned storytellers in the business as he shares a few tricks of the trade that will help you no matter what type of story you tell or enjoy, in whatever medium. It’s a rare opportunity to talk with the co-creator of X-Men Rogue, and groundbreaking penciler on such projects as Bucky O’Hare, The ’Nam, Micronauts, G.I. Joe, and much more! (Room B)
Saturday 12:00-12:45PM
Wizard Spotlight: Marv Wolfman
As the legendary writer behind some of your favorite characters that have been adapted into TV shows, movies and animations, Marv Wolfman discusses some of his comic creations that have been adapted to the big and small screens in movies like Blade and Daredevil, or in shows such as “Teen Titans” and “Smallville.” (Room B)
Sunday 1:00-1:45PM
Breaking Into Comics with Patrick Gleason, Kevin Maguire and Freddie Williams
Patrick Gleason (Batman & Robin; Green Lantern Corps), Kevin Maguire (Justice League; Batman Confidential) and Freddie Williams (JSA All-Stars; Batman) give out their tips on refining your art, pitching to publishers, and any other sound advice they can think of about working in comics. (Room B)
NOTE: I have no interest in breaking into comics, but would love to hear Kevin & Freddie talking about it!

Might hit the wolfman and maguire panels. Saw the chew/sweets panel last year and it was pretty good. Not sure I need to see it again, though.

We're driving down Friday, so I may be able to be there in the afternoon. Can do dinner one of the nights. I have no idea what I will hit, but Kevin Maguire would be at the top of the list.
Michael Golden, Stephan Roux and Carlos Barberi are also of interest to me.
I have to say that Homeslice Pizza and Asia Cafe are equally of interest.
I miss Austin.
