Creator Signing Today

Post by comicman66 »

Went to a signing at October County Comic Shop in New Paltz, NY (upstate). I'm from Connecticut, it took about 1.5 hrs to get there (not bad). Here is the list of creators that were there:
1. Joe Sinnot
2. Jim Starlin
3. Terry Austin
4. Dan Green
5. Fred Hambeck
6. Ron Marz
7. Louise and Walter Simonson
8. Joe Station
9. Matthew Dow Smith
10. Ramona Fradon
11. Todd Dezago

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the over 30 years I've been reading comics I really have never met any creator's before. I had a great time talking to each one and meeting Jim Starlin and Joe Sinnott was a real treat.

How can I post pictures?

You need to host the pictures somewhere (I use Image Shack for free picture hosting...)

1) Upload the pictures from your computer to Image Shack (or whatever)

2) Get the "Direct link" url to a picture

3) Come back here, paste that URL into a post, select it, then click that IMG button, which will put the img HTML tags around it

You're done, when you save the post the image should display.

That's a hell of a line up for a comic shop signing!

nice! some great names there. The Simonsons are a class act all the way.

Fairly randomly today, my local shop had Greg Rucka and Greg Pak in store for signings.

I asked Joe Sinnott how it was working with Jack Kirby back in the day. He told me that he worked with Jack Kirby for 20 years before he actaully met him. That made my day hearing old time stores, that maybe nobody knows about.
