I do believe that any Superman Origin that Johns/Frank do will be a great story, and will no doubt clarify the Superman origin situation for a few years until DC screws it up again.
That being said, I would just rather see more new stories from those guys than another origin, good though it may be. Just my preference.

I should say that more and more DC puts out information about the Superman line for 2009, I am becoming less concern and more excited about the whole line.
It was an anthology title but there was a two page Superman story in each issue.atomic99 wrote:Hey guys, didn't the weekly Action Comics run in the mid-1980s not have Superman while they were prepping him for the Man of Steel Byrne relaunch? Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember it being an anthology title without him for a few issues.

Superman relaunch happened with cover date Jan 1987, with a new Superman #1. That same month saw Action Comics #584, also written/penciled by Byrne.atomic99 wrote:Hey guys, didn't the weekly Action Comics run in the mid-1980s not have Superman while they were prepping him for the Man of Steel Byrne relaunch? Action was actually on a hiatus for a couple of months previous to the relaunch, with the Alan Moore "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?" story coming out in Superman #423 & Action Comics #583 (cover dated Sept. 1986).
The weekly run of Action actually happened after the Byrne relaunch in Action #601-642 (1988-1989), and Superman appeared in every issue (albeit only in a 2-page story in each). Interesting that there was another hiatus after the end of the weekly run, #642 was cover dated March 1989, and then 643 was July 1989, and they kicked off the "post weekly" era by bringing George Perez onto Action.
