I thought the panel went pretty well all things considered, although I do wish we had focused more on comics as opposed to ourselves, which may have made things a little difficult to transition between questions. I think it turned out just about as well as the one from two years ago did, minus the iFanboy vs. Fanboy Radio craziness that occurred that time. I didn't really mind Mr. Morrow's intro, although it would have been a bit better had we transitioned off of that, as opposed to simply making is a commercial. Finally, I think a moderator might indeed be a good idea for the future if we do this again, possibly a podcast listener, to stop from going too off-topic and talk comics as well as podcasting.
Positives and negatives aside, it's always a pleasure spending some time with you all, panel or no panel, and hope to do so again next year's SDCC.
And John, do you mind if I simulcast this on my feed?

What was the iFanboy/Fanboy Radio controversy from 2 years ago? I remember laughing as the guy from Fanboy Radio bragged about how he always took the Big Two to task and wasn't afraid to insult them when I had only ever heard him kiss their (bleep) nonstop and gush over everything. What, did iFanboy call them on that?i_am_scifi wrote:I thought the panel went pretty well all things considered, although I do wish we had focused more on comics as opposed to ourselves, which may have made things a little difficult to transition between questions. Sorry for the gossipiness of this, but its actually pretty rare to have a podcast feud. And is Fanboy Radio still in existence? I couldn't listen to them and actually had forgotten about them.

It wasn't really controversy, it was just that the panel steered away from comics and podcasting all together when iFanboy made a comment about radio being a dead medium, which the Fanboy Radio guy took as an insult, of course. And thanks for the OK, Bob. I'll certainly keep your intro intact!Burrell wrote:What was the iFanboy/Fanboy Radio controversy from 2 years ago? John, thanks for getting the podcast panel up on your site so fast. I thought the audio sounded good.
It's important to talk about podcasting for those that would like to get in to that. It would also be interesting to hear that same panel talk about comic books. Maybe there could be a second panel to just talk about what's exciting in comic books.
