Really? Thats the reasoning he gave behind the $3.99 book and John Turitzin's comments?
I dont buy it but bottom line is that it doesn't sound like things are going back to $2.99 anytime soon.
My budget is going down from $50 to $20 in September so alot less books for me.
Oh well nothing I can do about, maybe I can take a part-time job so I can buy the New Avengers book or another 30-40 Dark Reign titles.

Unless people refuse to buy the $3.99 books, there is no way the price will go down. It was pretty clear that $3.99 is going to get more prevalent as long as people will pay it.jlshank007 wrote: I dont buy it but bottom line is that it doesn't sound like things are going back to $2.99 anytime soon.
Along those line, people are raving about the 8 "Dark Reign: The List" one-shots that were announced at Heroes Con over the weekend....
Top notch creators, but there has not been any mention of how many pages these will be or how much they will cost (that I have seen, people with info, please post a link).....
I'm guessing they will be $3.99 (or maybe even $4.99), the question then becomes how many story pages will be in each.
If they are "up-priced" and people buy them in droves, this will further legitimize the $3.99 price point.

I read the article about the 8-one shots coming out and I have to wonder was there really a market for these? Have there other Dark Reign mini's be selling that well that felt the need to do this? The creative teams do look really awesome but with myself not really getting any Dark Reign stuff outside of the FF mini and the regular ASM and Punisher books I will skip all of these and hopefully pick them up in the dollar bin at some con.
I just really got back into comics a few months back and I hate be forced out by all the $3.99 books already but its really harder and harder for me to justify paying $4.00 for a comic.
