John is BACK!

Post by Wood »

I have to say, it warms my heart to listen to the last two podcasts. Our John Mayo is back with a vengeance. :)

187 issue order from DCBS!

Almost $800 retail for this month's Previews! :D

You can weigh the man down for a bit, but you CAN NOT keep him down.

That is why I kept clarifying that I wasn't dropping things but simply wasn't getting things due to budget constraints. Now that those constraints are gone, my spending is back to were it was on comics. Now I just need to find time to read all of them. And there is still a bunch left for me to get before I'm current.

That was pretty cool of Cameron to hold all those books for you, that's definitely a perk of being a super-customer.

I'm not sure Cameron was technically holding anything for John. He's selling him stuff that he still has copies in stock of from the shop that DCBS also runs (at the normal DCBS pre-order discounts, I assume, so that's a big benefit). Not taking anything away from DCBS, they're great guys.

There is nothing worse than not being able to participate in something your love to do. So I know you have appreciation for being able to participate at the "level" that you enjoy. Congratulations!!

FYI: My love is golfing. Not very good, but cannot get out often enough.

P.S. Been with DCBS since 2/2002, never received a damage book (I can remember) only about 3 orders were in error. DCBS is the best!!

They weren't holding anything for me. I just figured that since I would have ordered those items from them had I been able, then the least I could do is give them first crack at filling the order now. There are a couple of things they haven't been able to get that I need to look for locally.

That having been said, DCBS rocks. I'm not that far away from getting my 300th weekly shipment from them and the level of service from them has been excellent. I highly recommend using them.

I agree the last two podcasts have been super. You can just tell by the tone of John's voice that he's back in the game. There were several podcasts where the mood was just down. I'm glad things are back to normal. Keep up the good work.
