Are you going to let us do like last time and leave a message on Skype as a way to record our suggestions?

Sure.

I'll try to remember to leave Skype running on my machine so people can leave voice messages with their suggestions. I don't remember if I left it running or not when I headed to work this morning. But feel free to give it a try and see if it is up and running. The only time that probably won't work is Saturday morning while I'm on Skype recording the next Weekly Comics Spotlight with Bob.

If you do leave a voice message for me on Skype, please email me and let me know so I remember to check for it.

John,

Just sent over my contributions...but the email was 8 MB, so I'm going to resend each file separately too.

I made three submissions...Cable #1, Echo #1 and Night Fisher OGN.

Best,

Wood

Not sure why but I hear clicking sounds every now and again on my submissions...guess the mic is picking up my moving around in my seat?

One thing that Brian and I use when sending big files is www.yousendit.com which is good for sending the files and you can send up to 30 odd meg because it emails a link to the receiving person which they can click on to download.

Also I upload the ones I do to my own website and then send off the links to the guys which saves me trying to email big files.

I got these fine in the single email but sending them individually was a good idea.

And when you guys send in submissions, feel free to send in a bunch of links for me to toss in the show notes. I'm more than happy to include anything for either the comics you are mentioning or for any websites and podcasts you guys have.

Personally, I'm more interesting in the links to the podcasts since I think that helps everybody the most. That way if listeners like what you are recommending and why, they can check out your podcast and hopefully enjoy that too.

And I want to thank everybody for contributing, particularly Damian. A lot of the submissions this month are for items I don't get and I really like having the scope of the episode expanded like that.

Not a problem at all man... There were more mainstream books I could recommend as well as some like Doktor Sleepless that I can't get enough of but I wanted to make sure there were some that haven't been mentioned before so people can jump on those.

And anyway just asked and I'll do something if you need it as will alot of the guys on here I'm sure!

My hardest part was finding the time to do it... I waited for everyone to go to bed before I recorded it all hehehe I don't think my wife finding out I'm going to be ordering more is a safe thing for me heheheh

No worries. I've been enjoying your and Bob's podcasts so much, it's the closest thing the comics podcasting world has to speaking directly to my type of collecting; which is to say buying a heavy amount of monthly titles while also being an active buyer of high grade back issues.

Just a heads up, John, I added a link to Raph's Geeks Unite to your post on the CPN, so you might want to add that to the show notes on your site too.

I want to thank you both (and all contributers) for this show. I think I may have said it at some point or another, but this is a necessary companion to Previews. I am still not done yet. But as an example, I was listening to Bob talk about the Starman Omnibus, and both he and John mentioned back issues. And I slapped my forehead, I have a great back issue store here in town, and at times it feels like I can never think of enough to support him on, but that was just a stroke of genius, and I want to thank you both for that. And for hopefully keeping the idea in my head for other recent collections of past stories.

Now, all that being said, I came through this revelation smiling I had saved my already tight budget 25 dollars. No, I didn't! Damn you all with your "Great Jumping on Points" and glowing recommendations that I had somehow glazed over upon my look throughs. So much for saving money... ah well. As I said this needs to be listened to by any fan who wants more than blurbs and covers as their sole basis for ordering.

Thanks. I've updated the show notes on the Comic Book Page site.

Getting all of the links into the show notes on these Previews Spotlight episodes is harder than it looks. Sorry I forgot Raph's.

If anybody wants to get added to the Other Comic Book Podcasts part of the menu for the site here, email me a link and I'll add it. I haven't updated that it a while...

The bit about the Starman back issues came up doing the monthly Previews teleconference and I thought it was well worth mentioning on the episode. I'm glad you liked the idea.
