Bob,

It looks like DC agrees with you on the Death HC. From LITG:
I also understand that the "Compleat Death: Deluxe Edition" hardcover by Neil Gaiman, Chris Bachalo and Mark Buckingham has been cancelled by DC Comics and replaced with a yet-to-be-announced "Absolute Death."

HA! Maybe they are listening!

I'll buy an "Absolute Death" to go with my Absolute Sandman. It would be nice if they rounded out the page count with the Destiny mini-series.....

This is helpful news. I was on the fence with this one for the same reasons Bob had.

As an correction/update to my Previews submission on Garth Ennis' Battlefields Dear Billy #1 (Dynamite Entertainment), the artist, Peter Snejbjerg, has previously the worked on Vertigo's The Books of Magic, issues #12 (April 1995) thru #38 (July 1997). Also he worked on Starman, issues #50 (February 1999) thru #73 (Jan 2001). It looks like he has worked with Garth on a Preacher Special called One Man's War (March 1998). He's worked on a lot more than a couple issues of The Boys. Also DCBS is offering this title at 50% off. Another thing this title is for a mature audience but anyone who know's Garth Ennis' other work should know this. I haven't read it but he's also currently writing Crossed from Avatar. A title that's not for people who don't expect some strong violence.
