Jan Previews Podcast #003 (Books shipping in March)

Post by BobBretall »

We'll do the January Previews call on Friday Jan 4th @ 5pm pacific time. Starting with the Indies this month....

Also, Cameron just sent John & I an advance copy of the Excel sheet, which John has up here: http://www.ComicBookPage.com/Podcast/Da ... ry2008.xls (approved for download by Cameron for us to use on the Previews call). It still needs a few tweaks (coupon codes are not working yet, for one thing) but all the discounts are listed.

Submissions should be in by Saturday Evening, Jan 12th, but sending them in earlier would be good too ;)

Ones to watch for in January.

Here are some books John & I particularly have our eyes on for January....

GREEN ARROW/BLACK CANARY #6
* Jump-on point as GA/BC turn to solve mystery of wedding kidnapping

GREEN LANTERN #29

JACK KIRBY’S O.M.A.C.: ONE MAN ARMY CORPS HC
* Jack's classic, cool stuff for people who know of OMACs from the Crisis books

FABLES #71
* New story arc w/Cinderella in cloak-and-dagger action.

THE VINYL UNDERGROUND #6

I share some of those. New Frontier and TSSTG especially. And since I finally got a mic I can add a couple of my own. I hope you guys will forgive me for not joining in on the Previews call. It is usually too chaotic, my kids running through the house. Still if I can get there, I will sure try. I have enjoyed the spotlight, and think it is a great addition to Previews.

Is it OK if I mention these ones:
THE STARMAN OMNIBUS VOL. 1 HC
ABSOLUTE SANDMAN VOL. 3
MICE TEMPLAR #4
HELLBOY: THE COMPANION

Also I think there will be a Living Corpse coming out then too but I have to wait for the Zenoscope releases that I'd like to mention.

That is annoying. They should have at least waited a month to list the collected edition.

I shall certainly try and make the call. If not, I'll get my submissions in at least. :)
