10. GI Joe A Real American Hero #235 - I read this last night. Loving it.
11. Optimus Prime #2 - The first issue was really good. Excited to read this.

15. Avengers #3 - Love Mark Waid but I'm not sold on the lineup for this team.
16. Champions #4 - I read this already and it is good. Just don't care for Cyclops being drawn like he's twelve years old. It bothers me.
17. Moon Knight #10 - I read this issue. Good stuff.
18. Old Man Logan #16 - I'm behind on this book but it has been worthwhile. I do miss regular Wolverine though I must admit.
19. Unworthy Thor #3 - Loving this mini.
20. U.S. Avengers #1 - I read this issue also and it was an enjoyable read. Not sure I need this in my life or on my pull list however.

I also caught up on the current volume of The Punisher this week and that is a good book. Becky Cloonan has put forth an interesting story so far and the artwork is wonderful.

I didn't know what this was when it was solicited but derek at comics alternative emailed me at my other podcast and convinced me to give it a try - then I fanboy reviewed it and also made it sound pretty great (I have it but still haven't read yet) - will let you know

what did you think of these new #1s

The Deep is one that I was pretty sure I had digitally from last year. I was right. It was the same as the book originally released by Gestalt Comics and I have all six issues. It's really good all ages fun. A Secret Saturdays or Johnny Quest type feel. Check out the first episode of the cartoon on Netflix, this issue is taken directly from that. My rating would probably be a B. This rating may be slightly tinged due to the fact that I have already read this entire arc. Maybe it deserves a B+ or even an A-.

Doctor Crowe was worthwhile. It has a great cover by Garry Brown. As a first issue without any real introduction you are just thrown in to the middle of Doctor Crowe's life, which was okay but not as good as it could have been. With the three little short stories in this issue and the subject matter it gave me very much a Hellboy kind of a vibe. I think that is what they are shooting for. It seemed kind of like a starter book or something, not on the same level as Hellboy or The Goon obviously. I may read the rest of the mini just to see what kind of growth, if any, there may be. Also, I like to see this type of an independent book find a niche, to allow the creators a chance to ply their craft and grow. I think the character of Doctor Crowe is interesting and has potential. Wanted it to be better than it ultimately was, I would put it at a C+, and would encourage them to keep going.

God Country is one I have been looking forward to reading since I heard about it a few months ago. There is a lot of potential here for a great story but this first issue was definitely just laying the groundwork. That was somewhat disappointing in that it didn't immediately grab me and hook me in. I'm curious to see how it plays out over the next few months and hope for good things from this book. The art and coloring were amazing in this book. It looks great. I guess this issue would be a B rating for me.

The Rift was super. This issue does grab you right away and draw you in. I am interested in the story and the characters and what happens next. To me, this was another one of those hidden gems I come across and what I hope for when I buy stuff from the back half of Previews. The artist also did a really good job with some detailed work and demonstrated a lot of potential. I'm in for the rest of this mini series and would give this one an A-.
