1976 Marvel Comics

Post by vbchris »

I'm starting a project where I would like to collect all the Marvel comics that were published in 1976, but I'm having a hard time finding a listing of all of these comics. Does any one know of a good website or a book to use?

You should be able to search by year on MyComicShop.com.

While it doesn't have comics for sale, ComicBookDb.com is another place you should be able to search by year.

I don't know if this matters to what you are trying to do, most websites including those two list cover date (even if my comic shop says "published"). Finding the actual release of older comics is much harder and I have yet to find a good source of such information.

Do you want published in 1976 or on the stands in 1976 or cover date 1976 because those are all different sets of books.

I think I'm just going to go with cover date of 1976. That seems to be the easiest. Thanks for the websites. That should be very helpful. I also found this page that seems to have a ton of information.
