DCBS Question

DCBS's site says that on 5 Weds. months, if you get twice a month shipments, you'll get it the weeks of the 3rd & 5th Weds. This is a 5 weds. month, but I received a shipping notification for this week (2nd week). Anyone know if they changed their policy? Or is this month just an exception?

I'm not sure. Have you emailed DCBS? They should know for certain what the situation is.

I didn't...figured I'm fine either way so I'd save my emails for gripes! lol Was more curious, rather than anything. Also, given that I thought I had 2 weeks before my next shipment, I started a 2 week reading project (complete Ditko Spidey/Untold Tales of Spidey integrated series read) - so now looks like I'll have to split it in 1/2.

Do you get Previews from them? I thought the delay in the Preview shipments was the primary shift in delivery weeks.

I do - but why would that affect when I get the mid-month shipment (i.e., 2nd week or 3rd week)?

I get monthly now, but up until about 4 months ago, I use to get bi-monthly. But now, as I type this, I honestly can't remember how they did 5 week months. Yes, I am a super help.


Can you check your past shipments to see if they coincide with shipping on week 2 or 3? (No idea, just trying not to be the "no help" I am turning out to be)

Finally got around to emailing DCBS. It's simply a matter that they've changed their policy on 5 weds. months for 2x/month subscribers. They now ship on the 2nd & 5th weeks, rather than the 3rd & 5th weeks. I pointed out that their FAQ says the opposite, and they thanked me for pointing it out and said they would correct that.

thats interesting, been thinking of going weekly myself but just dont get enought to justify the expense

I've considered going weekly - but the cost has stopped me. The way it is now, I can usually read my 2 weeks of comics in a week, and the second week I use for catching up on TPBs and stuff I get at shows.
