This is the place to discuss the episodes of the Comic Book Page podcast, the Comic Book Page website or pretty much anything else of interest to the Comic Book Page community...

Not a fan of digital comics either, I assume......
I prefer online solicits. When I finally get the Previews catalog I only use it for checking the back half for small publisher stuff I may have missed.

I don't dislike digital. I use the (free)code and read the issue digitally although I do like having the physical copy. For previews, this is just my personal preference. I like learning what's coming, for the first time, when I crack open Previews.

I tend to be the same way. I like seeing the covers, the ads and the other stuff in Previews. I find flipping through the catalog to be a great way to discover what all is available that month.
Since I tend to be fairly consistent in what I get, I usually to a "blind" pass through the order form before Previews arrives. Many things get put into the "look at in Previews" category in that pass. Then, once I have an idea if it is going to be an expensive month or not, I'll go through Previews and see what there is to see. If my total from the blind pass is low, I might actively look for new titles while in other months I might spending a lot more and not be actively looking to add a lot to my order.
Enjoyed the episode gents. Just to prove my geekness, it was actually Deathmatch #2 that I could not find which is a Boom! book. The store had more number 1s than it could handle. It also had issue 3 in stock. I picked up the book at Wondercon. I think those Boom! books probably don't do great in the back issue bins so low orders on first go round.
Not into pull lists, if they don't have enough then I didn't need it. I have pre-ordered one book at the store but I try to avoid it.
Another example is that Tower book Bob mentioned (solicited for a trade through Marvel). I picked up #1 at my shop. It was good. Didn't notice anything until I just saw #4 at the shop a few weeks ago. I liked it but not enough to run down 2 and 3 so avoided picking up #4. Just another tale from the shelf life.
