Yep. I'm in the Chicagoland area and the bulls opener is on Wednesday so they've moved Arrow to Saturday for just this week. It's back to Wednesday for the following episode.spid wrote:Maybe it is a local thing for your area. I think it is OK. Not the greatest show on television, but I like it a lot better than the four or five episodes of Smallville I watched before bailing.

I'm really loving this show. I watched Smallville when it was on, but I never had the "CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT EPISODE" feeling that I've had with every one of the Arrow episodes so far. I was a bit nervous when they decided to go a different route from the Smallville Green Arrow, as by the end of the series, that was one of my favourite parts of that show, but they've done a good job with the changes.
I think what like best about this show compared to Smallville (aside from the darker tone) is that it's not as 'monster of the week'. So far I'm finding both the island flashbacks as well as the slow unmasking of the shady organization he's working on dismantling to be quite fascinating. Purely plot, and development of main character-wise, I find the show to be top notch. Where it falls flat, however, is with the dialogue.
Every episode, there seem to be at least a couple of scenes where the dialogue just makes me cringe. I almost feel like in order to make this show better while preserving what's good, they need to put the show on hiatus for a bit, and throw the writers out into the world to interact with other human beings, because clearly, they've spent their entire lives locked, alone, in a dark basement somewhere.
But seriously, hopefully with a few episodes under their belts, they'll get a bit more into the groove and polish off those rough edges. This show could have a really bright future, well... success-wise, anyway.
