I'm waiting to see how much my 1 of 500 Comixology Inked Variant is going to end up being. So far I have only seen 1 for sale and it went quickly for $100. (Not that I'm planning to sell it, I like keeping the Retailer Perk covers
)

We now have digital comics for sale. Check out our shop

I love the irony in a printed variant cover for Comixology (a digital comics provider)Danscomics wrote:I'm waiting to see how much my 1 of 500 Comixology Inked Variant is going to end up being. Yeah, it's pretty hilarious actually considering it is celebrating their 5 year anniversary and they are sending it to the retailers that until recently they were happy to not share with.BobBretall wrote:I love the irony in a printed variant cover for Comixology (a digital comics provider)Danscomics wrote:I'm waiting to see how much my 1 of 500 Comixology Inked Variant is going to end up being. Not that I recall. But non-DC/Marvel titles top the list for six out of the twelve months in 2002. One title in particular did so for four of those six months. All of the titles were color titles and this happened before the start of the pre-order era.Paul Nolan wrote:We'll see the top 300 very soon, and Walking Dead 100 is undoubtedly going to top the list. Has a black and white comic ever been top before in the modern age?
Walking Dead topping the list as a result of a number of cover gimmicks isn't something that really impresses me. It plays into the collectible mindset and does not reflect any real interest in the series. The covers sell the issue, not the series. We'll see with the August numbers if there is any noticeable carry over in sales with issue #101.

I'd be very surprised if there isn't... I suppose Walking Dead sold somewhere in the region of 62-65k if you factor in Previews UK. With issue 100 I'd be very surprised if more than 10% of readership went for multiple covers, and yet there's still enough demand from retailers to go to a 2nd printing?JohnMayo wrote: Walking Dead topping the list as a result of a number of cover gimmicks isn't something that really impresses me. I'd be surprised if it isn't consistently top 20 going forward
