I think they are really missing the boat here. All these old Valiant comics should be priced to MOVE at 99 cents instead of $1.99 each. Or even encouraged bulk buys with "1st 6 issues for $4.99" or something.

I would have picked up some of those early X-O & Harbinger issues just to have at hand on my phone if they had been 99 cents. At $1.99 it was a "no thanks".

Could not agree more, Valiant may want to look into bulk sales of the original run similar to Dark Horse Digital sales of The Goon or Star Wars runs.

Chew is on sale at Comixology, 99 cents an issue, or 4.99 per trade.

I had stopped picking up Chew with the second trade, so I was able to get volumes 3-5 for $15. Not bad!

Mouse Guard 3-Day Sale until 11pm, Thurs., 6/7.

Fall 1152, Winter 1152, and Legends of the Guard issues are 99¢ each.

You can at least grab the Mouse Guard: Fall 1152 #1 for free.

This series is probably best read in print, but if you can't find the issues or whatever, this is an option.

Now, how many pages do you get for that 99 cents?

It's 20 pages. They are landscape pages, so there may not be as many panels as your regular 20 page book, but it's still a fantastic value.

I agree with Bob. Definitely 5/5. Great writing and not your typical Batman story, and excellent artwork. It was my first digital purchase actually, and I was very happy with it. As someone who read it on a desktop computer, I loved the landscape pages (my only prior online reading experience was with Marvel's 3.99 books). Effortless to read and it looked great. I'm definitely onboard for this series and I might start checking out Ame-Comi Wonder Woman too.

I agree. This was very well done. I am looking forward to reading this series on a weekly basis.

I enjoyed it & own 2 pages of original art from the series.

It's an unabridged version of the Philip K. D1ck novel. Every word from the novel appears in the comic, with Tony Parker art illustrating the words as a comic story.

Tony changed up his art style about half way through, getting more tonal, I think around #13. I like his newer style a lot, that's what I own art from.
Anyway, if you like Philip D1ck's writing, you'll likely enjoy the series.

. I also picked up and read the Legend of the Dark Knight: The Butler Did It. I could not agree with you more, this is a great story told in 22 digital pages for 99 cents (the perfect price point).

DC was offering the original Authority & Jack Kirby's Kamandi for 99 cents. DC has offered a better selection of the old DCU (and best of Wildstorm/Vertigo) than their main competitor. Dark Horse Digital is okay, but I prefer Comixiolgy.

I also been picking up the DC52 titles that are great reads on digital. I don't do same day release, I wait a month and get it for a buck less. Marvel on the other hand keeps the digital cover price in what seems like forever. So I haven't been reading some titles I may at least try if price correctly.

I must give pros to DC Enterntainment, given they missed at least one with the Green Lantern movie (maybe 2

forgot about Superman Returns) They have successfully rebooted Batman movie franchise, they have successfully (IMO) rebooted the monthly printed comics. They have sold me on buying my comics digitally.

DC & Marvel both have a 99 cent "Father's Day" sale. Most of the DC books have either Pa Kent dying or children in peril, but.......

The 4 issue "Judas Contract" arc from Tales of the Teen Titans was there for 99 cents each. Probably one of the best Titans stories EVER. I just bought it..... a decent value for $3.96
