"Just talkin' Comics" New Monthly Skype Call

Post by rzing20480_2000 »

Hey Folks, Trying to put together a Monthly Skype call Where we talk Comics and Comic related topics. Think I've got Bob and John roped in and some of the other guy's on the Previews skype call have voiced an interest. Trying to figure out what would be a good night to do this, Saturday night seems to work for most people. Would like to know who else may be interested and what night is good, and any ideas on the subject.

I think make it whatever day works best and I'll try to be there if i can. As far as subject, I think very free form -- lately we seem to be on back issues and art, which are two subjects I love, but could be anything.

I'm certainly interested.

As for topics, as long as a few people have something to talk about, and I suspect that won't be much of a problem ,then the conversation will take care of itself.

Definately think that the subject of the conversations will take care of themselves, but would really like to firm up a night to call our own. Monday, saturday, Sunday all work for me, maybe start around 8:00 eastern, or later. Chat for 2 or 3 hours or what ever. I can Host ,or you guys, whichever. Really had a great time last night with the conversation.

If you don't mind another potential hanger-on, please post the details. I am west coast with a fairly tight schedule so difficult to committ but if it is open door, I would when I could. Thanks.

Definatly Open Door. I'm sugesting it be two weeks after the previews call-in so that it would be evenly spaced apart. So, for example, Last Friday was the previews call-in, so, if we were to pick Sunday night to do this, a week from this Sunday would be the call. What do ya think? Let me know.

Maybe a bit earlier in the day if it's on a Sunday.

The alternate is to just keep it on Friday, 2 weeks after the Previews call.

Two weeks after the Previews call makes sense.

Since most of us have to go to work Monday that might time box the call more than having it on a Saturday would.

We could certainly start earlier on a weekend day than on a weekday.

As for Fridays, that would limit my ability to make the call. I've got standing Friday night plans that I'm already cancelling on once a month for the Previews call.

Fridays would be out for me as well. I think my wife would kill me if I went on Skype two Fridays a month :)

I am flexible for any other day.

Fridays don't work for me for the same reason, I play darts on Friday nights except for the Friday of the Preview call. Most Saturday Nights would work for me or Sunday at or after 6:30 PM.

Sounds like Sunday, 2 weeks after the Previews call, 7pm eastern may be a time that would sit well with most people.

Works for me. If we get a majority, we can then confirm it and away we go a week from this Sunday.
