One thing I'll be interested to see with these #2 issues is if they'll have a "Previously in..." page. You'd think if they were expecting new readers that you'd want to provide this because they may not be used to remembering stories over a month....plus it's very simple to do.

Neilsen survey about the "New 52".

If you take it: BEWARE. They have a title "Nerak" that is in there to see if people are just clicking boxes. Make sure you say you've never heard of it!

My answer was "I didn't buy it, but I am interested in it!"

Which is true.

Nerak sounds rad.

Did it let you take the survey???

Also, I'm curious if other people got the same titles for detailed questions. The ones it asked me about would seem to be the lower-selling ones:

Batwing
Deathstroke
Green Arrow
Hawk and Dove
Legion Lost
Men of War
Mister Terrific
O.M.A.C.
Resurrection Man
Static Shock

It didn't ask me at all about the Batman/GL/Superman stuff I read.

Yes, it let me take the survey.

I don't think it asked me about those specific titles, I remember most of the specific titles I was asked about were titles I hadn't read yest (ie. from week 3 or 4), though all the titles I was asked about were second stringer characters. No Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lanter, etc.

The beat has a little post up about the new Nerak, calling for "art from the book". After I read that, I "found" my favorite panel from Nerak.

(The only reason I'm not posting it directly here is because I included a swear word, kid friendly forum and all)

My Favorite Nerak panel.

Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious they're wanting to find out which of their second-string books people are reading and why. Nothing wrong with that, though.

Maybe Nerak is the son of Arak, Son of Thunder. Or it's Karen spelled backwards. :)

Week 4 appearances of the hooded woman:

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/09/28/ ... -universe/

I'll be curious to see if she's in any of the #2 issues, or if she's sick of popping around & looking at people after 52 appearances.....

I took the survey and did notice the Nerak title. I assumed as you guys did that it was to see if you were actually reading the survey (although, it seems odd to take a voluntary survey and not read it as you go along).

Nerak=Karen=mysterious hooded woman??!! HAHA!

If anyone hasn't taken the survey yet and wants to give my store credit for it (The Goblin's Cavern) let me know. Retailers gain a discount in December on back order purchases if at least 1 of our customers takes the survey.
We now have digital comics for sale. Check out our shop

A Poll at Comic Book Resources asked which of the 3rd batch of 13 was the favourite.

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page ... s&msg=dupe

Red Hood & The Outlaws came out as favourite.

kinda proves that "vocal minority" phrase I think.

Apparently DC released a couple of pages of Lois/Clark interaction from Superman #1 a few weeks back & there have been some interesting changes made to the art between that pre-release & what was actually printed.....

Someone at DC is asking for & getting art modifications/corrections made.......

Seems like they are trying to make him look younger and that involves Harry Potter glasses and an untucked shirt, I guess.
