Full Picture of the new Justice League

Post by HassanT »

I am very excited.

Also, I don't mind the new Superman uniform. It still looks like the classic uniform but doesn't have the spandex look to it anymore. It does look like something the Man of Tomorrow would wear.

I don't care for that Superman outfit. And he looks young, like he's 18.

It looks like Superman, Batman, The Flash and Green Lanterns uniforms remind me of body armor that Batman wears in the movies.

Also an interesting thing is The Flash is wearing Wally's belt.

Overall I like the changes. The new uniforms seem to have some weight to them giving them a more realistic padded look instead of a whisper thin spandex material.

That's Cyborg. He's best known as a Teen Titan, but it looks like he'll be a bigger player in this new DCU (just by being in the JLA for starters).

I'm with Hassan on Superman's new look. I really like it, overall, and the red belt in particular works for me. Batman's belt on the other hand...it reminds me of Dick Grayson's utility belt, which I never liked. I guess I'm still partial to the old school belt with the big, bulky pouches and the bigger buckle. Then again, I suppose the sleeker, lighter look of the new one makes more sense. I really like Wonder Woman's costume, and I like the how she and Superman look better in this picture than the 1st image/cover. Man, I can't wait for this. Still 2 more months...ugh.

I am sure that is intentional.

I also agree with stardog on Wonder Woman's new look. Again, the old-old look of the shorts looked so dated. My daughters never understood why she would fight wearing that outfit.

I'll hold my judgement on the new supes outfit until I see what tweaks they've made to his origin and such. Always liked the idea that Ma Kent made his outfit for him so unless she's a weapons engineer, that no longer appears to be the case. And if supes is still all-powerful under the yellow sun does he really need to be padded ? Need more data. My only quick 'NO!' is the foot wear on the flash. Worlds fastest man isn't running around in those shoes. No way. Everything else I'm okay with and feel reasonable sure the outfits will be tweaked over time by various artists as they always have been.

Is there a story behind the collars?

I like it. We've been clamoring for a big 5 JLA for years and now we get it. :)

Definitely a big statement about cyborg. For some reason I was hoping for firestorm too, but we can't have everything and overall I'm happy with this lineup. Now let's see some good stories and not have the first or second arc be about the team breaking up. Would love if it wasn't an origin story too but we probably will have to deal with that.

I'm digging the uniforms, mainly because they got rid of the "wearing underwear on the outside of the pants" look. But, I'm not understanding the cod piece on Wonder Woman or why Batman is smiling.

Also, Who is that girl on the right in the red area above Mera? Power Girl maybe?

I understand the desire to get rid of the underwear on the outside look. But I'm not that wild about solid color separated by a belt look. Makes it look too much like they're wearing longjohns. Especially with all the blue on superman and all the grey on Batman. Aquaman, GL, and even Wonder Wan (altho I'm not wild about that bustier top look - just doesn't come off as very warriorish to me) look a lot better with the two tone approach.

My question is, I assume Batman wears the dark colors to better camouflage himself at night. So why the bright-as-the-sun gold belt?

Or maybe I'm making the camouflage thing up. Bat = black after all.
