2011 SpringCon

Post by BuffDaddyBill »

I am looking forward to going to the 2011 SpringCon this Saturday at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Is anyone else on this forum going? I am little disappointed that Denny O'Neil and Gail Simone had to cancel, but it still should be really fun.

Looks like a fun show!!

Don't buy a sketch from:
Mitch Gerads
Starborn, The Activity, Johnny Recon
www.popgunpulp.com

He likes to steal people's money and not give them their art.

Do we have a pattern of complaints against this guy documented?

I've had artists not finish sketches for me and fade away, but I attribute it more to "some guys are flakes" than theft.

I paid the guy who did Hepcats for a sketch at San Diego about 17 years ago that I never got, nor did I ever get a refund.....the guy faded away.

I had the same happen with a Brazilian artist whose name I forget. Same thing though, I don't consider him a thief.

Bob I think you should consider them thieves. That's what happened. They took money from you.

Fair enough, in the end, it amounted to theft. Though I don't think it was a premeditated intent.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. I get what both of you are saying, he took my money but I'm sure he isn't a straight up thief. I could have stated my experience a wee bit better.

No, I didn't. A little pricey for my taste. He still had a lot of fun though.
