The software also needs to be EASY TO USE! * Should not have to take that much time to enter in an issue. Maybe I was using it wrong, but when I was testing the eval, I did not find that the scanner saved any time at all. At least not over simply checking a box and hitting download as with Collecto...

I want a database to track the title, issues number, publication date, purchase date, cover price, price paid and physical location primarily, with the ability to classify as "wanted" "in collection" or "for sale" somewhere. Then the ability to print out simple lists, o...

Someone with fat fingers reaching for the "six" on the number pad and hit the "three" instead would be my guess.

It's funny, I'm so behind in my reading these days that I don't even notice when the box ships... it's usually a surprise when I see that it's arrived every month.

Looking at those Cable issues, I'm thinking I must have accidentally posted it on both issues, because that's awfully close together numerically, and I have the press run listed as 82,775 on both.

I normally make note of the Average Net Press Run as I come across the statement when compiling my database. Here's what I've got... obviously I've missed a bunch over time. And since I'm behind on my reading, I haven't gotten to enter too many recent issues into the database just yet. Action Comics...

My experience was a little different... I couldn't handle the lines and crowds and left at noon on Saturday.

I'd much rather check items off a list of what shipped that week. Comic Collector uses the Comic List from each week to allow you to do just that. I'm not 100% sure on how well it works though, as I have only just started playing around with the "New Release" feature, and I get my comics ...

I use Comic Collectorz Comic Collector as well... and if you've ever listened to my podcast, you know I talk about how I use it all the time... the good and the bad. For me personally, I think it is the best software out there right now... and easily the best value. Having said that though, there's ...

1: Do you budget by dollars or number of titles? Definitely by dollars. 2: Do you budget by week or by month? Orders are placed monthly, so that's how I budget. I also have monthly shipments. 3: Do you budget based on when the comics are ordered or when the ship? Ordered. 4: Do you budget separatel...

I'm about to start cutting books too, and it has nothing to do with budgets. I'm just finding that I've got too much backlog of material, AND a desire to re-read some stuff. Once the new stuff is listed on DCBS I'm probably going to record my first pass through and work out what I'm keeping and what...

I remember Yandroth! And his Omegatron! I really appreciated the throwback for the old school Defenders fans like me. It made the book more bearable in that it at least had SOME connection to the previous series other than Nighthawk and the son of JC Pennysworth. I wasn't in love with the iss...
