Someone else had it for the Previews Spotlight but I am a team book guy and Legion of Superheroes has been one of my books. I may have been one of the few to like the recent Jim Shooter run but I really enjoyed it. The Paul Levit run could be a solid run or a train wreck. Always tough to go back to ...

Choosing a Pick

I will start slow with one submission this month and choose: Avengers: The Origin Audacity is downloaded and I am ready to try. I wanted to go with the theme: one Marvel, one DC and one other, but I thought I might work towards that if I can actually get off my butt and submit my first one. Kevin

I still go to newsarama.com as my main comics news web site.

I use podcasts as my main form of getting reviews. I listen to the following podcasts:

Weekly Comics Spotlight
ifanboy
Just Another Fanboy
11 O'Clock Comics

I love the idea of The Champions. I remember some of the covers when I would go to the store. My brother had some Ghost Rider issues and I remember that fondly. I put the list in order and I do find that the team books have filtered to the top so far. The Champions 1-17 The Invaders 1-41 Defenders 1...

Lot of great suggestions. Some of these aren't quite my sweet spot but I think there are a few that might might fit me. Kamandi - I may have to wait for an omnibus or collection because these bad boys are a bit up there in price New Gods - have the 4th World Omnibus Forever People - have the 4th Wor...

I will put The Defenders on the list (1-80). I think the few issues I have read are the ones from the Avengers / Defenders war because I picked up the TPB for that. The first few issues would be the Engelhart era when he was having solid runs on several series. I think the costs will be reasonable o...

Thanks for the suggestion. I remember Power Man and Iron Fist from the 80's but don't remember the solo series from the mid-70s. It seems like it would be hard to go wrong with Claremont and Byrne from this time period. Alpha Flight was the first series I "collected" from #1. It may take s...

Recommendations Requested on Runs of Issues - Bronze Age

I have been thinking about picking up runs of series from the Bronze Age and I am looking for some recommendations from the forum. I tend to prefer team books over individual books. I have a long run of The Avengers and Legion of Superheroes that covers the 1970s and I recently picked up the 25 issu...

I have generally avoided Batman and Superman at DC and collected team titles or less "iconic" characters. Superman and ancillary titles were always ones that I seemed to not pick up while I would get a run in on Batman or a Batman family title here and there. Geoff Johns was the writer who...

I have had shipments arrive on the Thursday after the last new comic day of the month and I have had the following Tuesday. Monday was my most common day but I was always excited when it was a Friday My shipments...

Sabrina the Teenage Witch - Detailed Review

I initially picked up Sabrina because I wanted something I could read to my daughters who are currently 6 and 3. I had some knowledge of the premise because I had seen some episodes of the television series. I read in Comic Shop News that Tania Del Rio, who had won a prize in a manga contest, was go...
